Razer Inc. is a global gaming hardware manufacturing company based out of Singapore and San Francisco. Founded in 2005, the company is a spin off from a larger parent called 'Karna' which went into financial difficulties along with many other business ventures during the 2000 dot com bubble.
Founders Tan Min Liang and Robert Krakoff acquired the licenses for the Razer brand in 2005 to start Razer Inc. as we know it today. Listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since November 2017, Singapore’s Temasek Holding and HK business tycoon Li Ka Shing were some of the company's early backers.
Recently Razer Inc made headlines again for bullish statements over Razer Pay roll out where it aims to get one million people to use the mobile wallet in the city-state of Singapore by end of April 2019.
Razer Pay launched in Malaysia in July 2018 with some 6000 partners following the acquisition of MOL for US$ 100 million in April 2018.
